Barbara Malone Glass/wood sculpture

Barbara Malone’s large scale sculptures are a combination of several elements. She uses sand carved glass and weathered wood. The tall vertical columns of glass are carved and sand blasted. Found objects, used and worn, are introduced into her work along with aged and weathered wood elements. Malone was originally attracted to the northwest because of the rain and abundance of driftwood. Her pieces were originally conceived as outdoor pieces.

   Patricia Heimerl, acrylic paintings

Patricia Heimerl will be presenting abstract, minimalist images. Her acrylic paintings explore mood and atmosphere by means of light, color and texture. Although she works with a limited palette on each piece, subtle surface texture, multiple layers of paint and glazes, color combinations of light and dark, warm against cool invites the viewer to linger, connecting with the quiet simplicity of her work.
