Situated in Northeast Portland, the Guardino Gallery is a destination that can fulfill many of your artistic needs: from the visual stimulation of changing exhibitions to shopping from a fine selection of contemporary crafts, to framing your artwork. The GUARDINO GALLERY is located on the corner of 30th and NE Alberta and the GUARDINO FRAMESHOP & GIFTSHOP opens next to it. Both are open Tuesday through Sunday. Every "Last Thursday" of the month throughout the year Alberta Street hosts an Art Walk. The Guardino Gallery's reception for their new shows are scheduled monthly. The evening starts at 6:00 PM and officially goes to 9:00 PM. Come meet the artists and share in the refreshments. The Gallery changes shows every month and has done so since it's inception in 1997. While the shows are varied in theme and medium, one thing rings true: their commitment to show the best of northwest contemporary art. Check out our page that lists the 2006 schedule of artists showing in the gallery. We also schedule "mini-shows" in our new Feature Area. Look for changing shows each month. Sal and Donna Guardino purchased their buildings almost ten years ago. Their business occupies two of the six storefronts. The Guardino Complex host four other businesses, other than the GUARDINO GALLERY & FRAMESHOP: • HiiH Gallery (Handmade Paper Lamps) • Redbird Studio (card shop & stationary) & Haiku (music & art venue) • Tour de Crepes (french/creperie) • Shrunken Head Massage The Gallery sends out a monthly email announcement which includes some words (and pictures) about the show and a link to this site to view photographs of the upcoming show.
