George Gostovich, clay sculpture
June 26-July 29
June 26, 6-9 PM during “Last Thursday” Artwalk
Robert Huff uses an alternate photographic printing process:
George Gostovich works with terra cotta clay to form his sculptures. Because the pieces are made of clay, time was a factor in their creation. They had to be done quickly before the clay dried out. Though most of the work was done directly from live models, his work evolved from a standard representation of the model.
As he puts it, “memories or imagination guided me in the final stages of a piece.”
